Lisa Wiley

Recording Secretary

Lisa has worked as an Assistant Pantry Manager for SOVA, Jewish Family Service, since 2013.  She has been the union's Recording Secretary since January 2017.

"I see being an active member in my Union as an extension of my work.  I am in this Union whether I participate or ignore this fact. Participating gives me a platform to voice concerns and to defend the rights of other employees. I have had the opportunity to see the Union save someone's job by mediating an issue, and that's the fight I am proud to be part of. I am no longer looking in, but looking out – for others. I give two hours a month for the Executive Board meetings with lively discussions, friendship, and good food, and what I receive is the knowledge that our Union has our backs – and that's a good feeling to have!"
